General Information

Special Events
Family and community events are planned on an ongoing basis including Community Coffee Breaks and Family Fun Days. Check our Events Calendar, Newsletter, Shilo Stag or the Community Events Calendar for dates and times.
Newsletter
The Shilo MFRC Newsletter is issued ten times a year. It contains MFRC news, informative articles as well as our upcoming programs and services. It is delivered to the PMQ area and mailed to off base families who request to be added to our mailing list.
Posting Packages
Posting packages from most Canadian bases are available for your viewing.
Outreach to New Families
New to Shilo? Drop in to the MFRC and pick up your Outreach Package. This Outreach service keeps in touch with the community by welcoming newcomers and hosting special events. This package consists of information about the MFRC, Shilo and area, and Brandon. Also included are maps of Shilo, Brandon and Manitoba. The family is then encouraged to visit the Resource Centre for a tour and they receive a tote bag full of interesting items. The purpose of this service is to help new families connect to the community.
Thrift Shop
Our Thrift Shop has a wide variety of children and adult clothing and some household items. Articles are sold on consignment or are donated by community members.
Summer Hours:
- Tuesdays 6:30 - 8:00 pm.
- Thursdays 9:30 - 11:00 am
